After qualifying in 2011, John built his early career specialising in commercial, insurance and personal injury litigation. That experience gave him a valuable insight into the disputes that can arise when commercial arrangements are poorly documented or expectations are not clearly defined.

Since 2018, John has focused exclusively on non-contentious commercial work, helping businesses put the right structures in place to avoid problems before they arise. Drawing on his litigation background, he understands where contracts and internal processes can create risk and works with clients to address those issues proactively.

John advises businesses across a broad range of commercial matters, supporting clients with the practical documentation and compliance frameworks that underpin successful organisations. Away from work, John lives in Dubai with his wife and enjoys travelling whenever possible. He is also a keen follower of both football and cricket and rarely misses the opportunity to keep up with the latest scores.
