Alexandru Duminica

Alexandru Duminica is a Paralegal in the Personal Injury and Medical Negligence department at IMD Solicitors LLP.

Alexandru assists clients who have suffered injuries as a result of road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public liability incidents and criminal injuries. He has experience supporting a broad range of personal injury claims and has developed a particular interest in serious and complex injury litigation involving traumatic brain injuries, amputations, permanent disabilities and injuries that have a significant impact on an individual’s ability to work and carry out day-to-day activities.

Having graduated with a law degree from Coventry University, Alexandru gained valuable experience as a legal assistant before progressing his legal career within personal injury litigation. He is currently preparing to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examination as part of his route to qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales.

Alexandru is known for his clear communication, structured approach and proactive case management. He is committed to ensuring clients understand every stage of the claims process and seeks to provide practical, straightforward advice while progressing matters efficiently and effectively.

His experience includes assisting on a number of significant personal injury matters, including:

• A serious road traffic accident involving a pedestrian and a bus, resulting in a traumatic brain injury requiring surgical intervention, multiple spinal injuries and fractures throughout the body, which settled for £250,000.
• A road traffic accident involving an e-scooter rider who sustained a severe elbow fracture requiring three surgical procedures, affecting his ability to continue working as a chef, which settled for £70,000.
• A high-value road traffic accident claim that settled for £150,000 prior to medical evidence being obtained, allowing the client’s immediate rehabilitation needs to be addressed.
• An employer’s liability claim involving a workplace accident which caused permanent loss of vision in one eye and achieved settlement of £110,000.
• A serious workplace accident involving the partial amputation of a client’s thumb after their hand became caught in machinery, with the claim valued at approximately £200,000.

Alongside his personal injury caseload, Alexandru assists the Head of Department on medical negligence matters, providing support on claims involving serious injuries and long-term consequences.

Alexandru is fluent in English and Romanian and also speaks conversational Spanish.

Outside of work, he enjoys running, reading, board games and team-based strategy games. He also has a keen interest in plant-based cooking and maintains a vegan lifestyle.
