Marcin is the Managing Partner and Joint Founder of IMD Solicitors LLP and IMD Corporate, where he spearheads the firms’ vision and strategic direction. A qualified Solicitor in England and Wales, Marcin has transitioned from direct legal practice to focusing on building and leading high-performing teams that consistently deliver exceptional results for clients.
He is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusion within IMD. His leadership is defined by a strong focus on culture and values, ensuring that every team member embodies the firm’s commitment to integrity, innovation, and client care. Marcin’s forward-thinking approach includes pioneering a 4-day workweek at 100% salary—a transformational initiative originally piloted by his wife and business partner, Iwona, in the family department. This bold step has set a new benchmark for work-life balance and employee wellbeing in the legal profession and has been widely recognised across the industry.
Under Marcin’s guidance, IMD has evolved into a multi-award-winning firm, recognised for its innovative practices, outstanding client care, and cross-border legal expertise. In the past two years alone, the firm has received over 25 nominations, awards, and recognitions, including a LexisNexis Legal Award for Wellbeing and being named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024. In 2025, Marcin and Iwona were jointly named Managing Partner of the Year at the Modern Law Awards. That same year, IMD was included for the first time in the prestigious Legal 500 rankings as a Firm to Watch in both the Family and Corporate & Commercial categories.
In addition to his role at IMD, Marcin serves as a Council Member of the Manchester Law Society, where he plays an active role in the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. As a Council Member, he has also taken the lead in initiating the formation of an International Committee, reflecting his passion for global legal collaboration and strengthening Manchester’s position as an international legal hub.
Marcin is frequently sought after by UK and international media for expert commentary and is a regular speaker at business and legal events worldwide. Before founding IMD, he successfully led the international department of a prominent Manchester law firm, playing a key role in its expansion and success.
He holds Law Degrees from the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń, Poland, and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Outside of work, Marcin is a proud father of two daughters and a son. He is passionate about triathlon and endurance sports, and completed his first full Ironman in 2023. Marcin is also a member of Mensa – The High IQ Society.
