IMD SOLICITORS CONQUERS MOUNT SNOWDON FOR UNICEF
We recently worked toward a shared mission to conquer Wales’ highest mountain, Snowdon, to raise funds for UNICEF.
Teams from our Manchester and London offices arrived in sunny Wales on Saturday, 1 July at 12 noon to begin the climb via Mount Snowdon’s Llanberis path.
For much of the ascent, we enjoyed great weather but on nearing the summit, our struggle began and the weather conditions soon worsened but thankfully we managed to reach the top in just under 3 hours and before the rain arrived.
On our descent, it started to pour with rain, temperatures dropped and visibility became a problem, making it a real challenge for not only the non-experienced climbers but those that had climbed the mountain before. We finally reached the bottom at 6.30 pm.
Marcin Durlak, Senior Partner at the firm said “I’m so proud of the team, they all took out time from their usually relaxing weekends to help raise monies for this fantastic charity. The challenge was hard going at times but everyone had a great time and managed to keep smiling throughout. We now can’t wait to arrange the next event.”
All monies raised have gone directly to UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for children in danger here in the UK, across Europe and the world as a whole and we continue to raise funds for this very worthy charity.
